Support Teachers @ Everton Park (STEP)
The Support Teacher at Everton Park (STEP) provides support to students who have been identified as having a disability. The adjustments being made to assist the student in accessing curriculum, achieving curriculum outcomes and participating in school life are recorded in an Education Adjustment Program Profile. An Individual Education Plan is also established for the student. This specifies priority goals to be achieved in a six month period.

Regular class plus in class support and small group instruction
Morning Reading Club
Our Morning Reading Club is just one strategy that we use to assist students across all years to enhance their reading abilities. Selected students work with teachers, teacher aides and volunteers in the library each day during school with reading drills and comprehension activities. We have seen the students who regularly attend this program make some significant improvement to their reading ability. We are always seeking more volunteers to help out with our Morning Reading Club. Please contact the school if you would like to be a part of this initiative.
