The Student Resource Scheme was introduced to Everton
Park State School in 2018 for Prep to Year 6 to ensure that all students had
the necessary resources to support their educational requirements.
It is a convenience to parents/caregivers as
it provides a more economical and streamlined option for purchasing consumables
and textbooks each year. The scheme has
been fully endorsed by the Everton Park State School Parents and Citizens’
Association. Details for the costs
involved for the scheme are listed below.
The scheme will operate at this school in 2021 under
the policy and guidelines of Education Queensland. Parents wishing to take up the offer to
participate in the scheme pay an annual flat fee and sign an agreement to
comply with the conditions of the scheme.
While membership of this scheme is not compulsory for Years 1 to 6, the
school and P&C encourage your participation. Full participation rates offer the most
benefits to parents, teachers and the learning experiences for the

The scheme will provide parents/caregivers with the
following general benefits;
Ready and consistent access to consumables and
resource materials as needed
Cost savings and convenience in purchasing student
consumables and resource materials in bulk and GST free
Opportunities for students to access a wider variety
of resources and costly items by sharing cost with whole class
Enhancements to educational experiences for students.
WHAT WILL MY CHILD RECEIVE?
The scheme will provide the following items for
participating students for the entire school year:
All consumable stationery and writing materials (eg
pencils, rulers, rubbers, exercise books etc.)
All printed class notes, and reproduced materials
which complement and /or substitute textbooks/student workbooks;
Materials for practical activities (may include but
not limited to – student subscriptions, art materials)
Access to class sets of materials purchased through
the Student Resource Scheme (eg calculators, dictionaries)
WHAT MAY I HAVE TO PROVIDE?
Larger items which are personal or might be used over
a number of years such as:
Chair bag (available from the Uniform Shop) – not
Prep or Year 1
Recorder from Year 3
Whiteboard, (if not part of the SRS in 2020)

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Am I able to join the scheme and only pay for selected
items? No. For the scheme to be cost effective and
viable full participation is necessary.
What happens if my Child leaves during the course of
the school year? Students
leaving the school will be entitled, after receipt of a written request, to a
pro-rata refund. Forms requesting a
refund are available from the school office and should be completed when informing
the school of the student’s departure.
Am I able to join the scheme if I am enrolling my
student later in the year? If
students enrol at the school after the first term, the fee will be reduced on a

and do not pay any of the amounts owing?
While it is voluntary to join this scheme, once a
commitment is made, there is an obligation on participating parents/caregivers
to make these payments or provide their own resources.
What happens if I do not wish to participate in this

distribute resource items to the classrooms.

Parents/caregivers who do not wish to participate in the scheme will need to liaise
with their individual class teacher throughout the year as stationery/texts/art
materials, etc. are needed. The start-up
booklist is a skeleton list to allow teachers the flexibility to order additional
stationery/texts/etc as they are needed for units of work in each term.
