P & C News

Congratulations to all of you for making it through the first two weeks! I bet there were some tired children (and parents!) over the weekend.
Now that all of the back to school stuff is out of the way, our thoughts turn to 2017 and how we can make this one of our best years yet! It has been many years since we’ve had such a large number of students and families on campus and I’m really looking forward to seeing the positive impact this has on EPSS. I encourage all of you to take the time to say hello to someone you don’t know and show the EPSS community spirit that we’re known for.
If I didn’t see you at the Parent Information sessions last week, or if you didn’t manage to get your hands on the P & C information pack, you will find it attached. This includes our membership form. These need to be completed annually in order to remain a member, and we’re aiming for our biggest member base yet! As an incentive, both the 10th and 100th completed membership form submitted, will receive a $20 Flexischools voucher which can be used on Tuckshop lunches, our fantastic coffee (thanks to Baxter & Sons), or in our uniform shop. Winners will be notified via email and announced in the newsletter.
For those who I did manage to speak to – thank you for sharing your ideas. Whilst some we had heard before, others were ridiculously simple yet could have such a big impact. I’m looking forward to hearing more of those great ideas, as well as many more at the P & C meeting on Monday 20th February at 7pm in the Library. There will be a meet and greet session from 6:30pm with coffee & cake (and possibly wine!). Come along, we’d love to see you!
Speaking of coffee – WOW! I’m loving being able to drop into the Tuckshop on Monday/Wednesday/Friday and pick up a coffee on my way out that has been expertly made by Bee. At $3.50 it’s an absolute bargain and even better is that it’s helping the school.
Thank you
